Pyrat XO Reserve

I was really wanting to like this rum but I cant recommend it as a sipper , its too sharp and has a real alcohol bite to it. On a positive note , I dont find the " hand cleaner " smell or the " overpowering smell of oranges " that people keep on about . Has a real short finish and only as a mixer for me , probably wont buy again.

This was my first better rum, sweet taste, beautiful smell, not harsh or woody, yes it smells and tastes like orange, very good choice for the money, will buy it again. love to sip it, my wife loves to mix it with coke, lime and ice.

This is my go to rum for almost every occasion. Great rum with a great story.

Very good taste, smooth. Good sipping rum. I like the shape of the bottle.

Smells easy, full of sweetness and vanilla. Taste too much like oranges. Has not much of a rum. Maybe a drink for non/starting rumdrinkers

Generally a good rum with balanced flavors, but a bit over-priced. Good with Coke.

Very strong notes of pineapple and coconut. A really enjoyable sipper.

Great colour, aroma, and smooth. I like it on the rocks or with a small amount of cola
