Pyrat XO Reserve

Tres fortes notes d orange. Plaira aux debutants. Pas aussi mauvais qu un don papa mais on nest plus dans le vrai rhum

This is a strange one for me - not complex or deep, very strong orange notes, strong alcoholic burn. Granted I did not wait 2 hours to breathe as some suggest, but it did not end up on my favorites list. Could imagine it mixed with ice, lime, orange peel and soda but not really a sipping rum for me.

This is a very acidic rum, and very citrusy with honey flavor. I would try it again, but it always seems to rot my gut a bit... It makes an okay hot buttered rum with orange zest though..

I feel like its a product of over mixing. the bottle is quite elegant i think.

Although I would sometimes prefer this over a tasteless rum, its still a bit overkill for what its trying to be.

At first, I tough pyrat XO smelled like Southern Comfort. It has a strong and disappointing taste of orange. Alcohol and sugar are subtle on the tongue. Interesting color and cool marketing but overall will end up in rum and Coke or rum punch.

Maybe others like this, but found it way over-rated and thin odd flavour.

The orange taste is to predominant and artificial in my opinion, I was expecting much more from this one.

Good but nothing special, only a mainstream commercial rum.

Doesn't have a rich flavor as many other aged rums.

I just can’t seem to like this one it almost has a spice flavour and I can’t stand spiced rims.
