Cane Island Jamaica Single Island Blend

Got this on clearance. It's really tolerable. Gives you some of that Jamaican funk. I'm drinking it straight with no problems. Hey, it's not Smith & Cross but it's not half bad.

I'm not a big fan of Jamaican funk rums, so I found this one fairly enjoyable. The flavor is on the light side, and it has some sweetness to it, with just a little funk. I'm going to be generous and rate it a 7, but will admit that its not very true to the Jamaican style as far as I can tell with my limited exposure to other Jamaican rums. Given the price is just over $20, its a good choice for someone who wants to dip their toes into the Jamaican style first rather than jumping right in with something more authentic. If the low level of funk in this isn't to your liking, then you can probably cross off Jamaican rums from your list. I'd probably rate it a 6.5 if I could, but between 6 and 7 I'll go with 7.

Musim rict, ze tohle je bohuzel jeden z lepsich rumu z celeho kalendare. Po odvetrani je ve vuni citit prijemne kandovane ovoce. Chit je sucha a v dozvuku jaou citit orechy.

Färgtonen är guldig. Aromen oj oj här händer det grejer. Banan, tropisk frukt. Påminner väldigt mycket om plantation jamaica, top 2 hittills i kalendern!

Rum with typical jamaican funk. Taste is tending to be fruity (hints of oranges maybe) reminding fruit brandys. Aftertaste is sweet chocolate like. Rum is well balance between fruityness and oakyness.
Would be fine mixer but it is suitable for sipping

In der Nase frischgebackene Vanillebrötchen mit Fruchtsalat auf einem karamellisierten Eichen Brett serviert.
Im Gaumen ein wenig frech und sperrig aber dennoch sehr weich und elegant. Tropische Früchte, Karamell, Vanille und Holz Aromen sin schön ausbalanciert.
Im Abgang kurz ein paar Alkoholnoten aber dann herrlich lange Karamell, Früchte und Vanille.
Ein gut gemachter Alltags Rum, leicht / mittel gesüsst, für Jedermann.

In the nose freshly baked vanilla rolls with fruit salad served on a caramelized oak board.
On the palate a little cheeky and bulky but still very soft and elegant. Tropical fruits, caramel, vanilla and wood aromas are well balanced.
In the finish briefly a few alcohol notes but then wonderfully long caramel, fruits and vanilla.
A well made everyday rum, light / medium sweetened, for everyone.

Duft af en blanding mellem pære og æble. Bringer minder tilbage til min barndom, hvor jeg legede meget i en æbleplantage. Her var en sirlig duft af æbler, som var trådt i stykker og var begyndt duften fra den begyndende rådnelsesproces satte ind. Jeg er ikke umiddelbart tilhænger af æbler, pærer og banan i rom. Smagen er også pære med endnu et strejf af peber. Ikke disideret dårlig, men heller ikke noget at råbe hurra for (15. December 2018)
