Hints of brown sugar and molasses in aroma.
The taste is oaky with vanilla notes.

overally not bad but quite light and simple

Golden amber rum in an anonymous bottle. The nose unfolds with a pretty classic "rummy" fingerprint consisting of raisins, vanilla, marcipan and oak, leaning towards the sweeter side.
The taste doesn't carry a lot of potency. There's a bit of caramel, raisin and once again marcipan, but it's a bit watery and unfortunately added sugar seems to mask the nuances. The finish is short with a hint of oak. End of story i geuss.

Rum tasting in Sofia Bulgaria continued with Cane Island Trinidad. Decent bottle and label design. Light golden color. Strong orange peel and mild oak and vanilla to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Dry and very short burn at the end.

It’s not bad. Slightly bland but also made my lips tingle.

Trinidad is one of the more traditional rum nations, so when you get a rum with a name like this one you have high expectations. Suffice to say that those expectations were not met.

Nose: Orange blossoms, lemon and caramel
Taste: Citrus fruits, caramel and syrup
Overall: This one had a very strange citrus feel to it, that kind of dominated both taste and smell. Citrus and rum can be a good pairing, but in this case it just felt artificial and chemical

Just good quality rum, harsch, short finish, less atractive

Bright amber in the glass.
In the nose very special, sugar cane syrup with peppermint, cough syrup with caramel cream candy, a barrel full of herbs and spices.
On the palate a bit like chewing gum almost like Don Papa paired with medical notes of Arcane extra flavour. Caramel, red berries and some vanilla round off the whole.
In the finish caramel and fruits dissolve in sharpness.
A very light Trinidad rum that shows another side of the island. Medium sweet and nothing for Navy Style lovers. 6+
