Pusser's British Navy Blue Label ABV40 3-Year rum

Pusser's British Navy Blue Label ABV40 3-Year

FL
had this rum recently

Virgin Islands, British | Aged | 40% ABV

The Great British Admiralty first served rum daily to its Royal Navy sailors over 300 years ago until the ration was abolished in 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias bought the recipe rights, formed Pusser’s Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands, and for the first time made the rum it available for public consumption.

Pusser’s British Navy rum today is the same blend of five West Indian rums as the British Admiralty issued to sailors.

Known as the “single malt of rum” Pusser’s British Navy rum is pot stilled using a similar method as that for single malt scotches, and with no artificial flavors is 100% natural.

At our last Naval reunion this was used at TOT time for our ration. It was just like the rum we were once issued and is definately not a sipping rum. It must be mixed as regulations demanded. I find the price is too high for the rating.

A regular aged mixed rum. Probably not a bar staple, but i enjoy it, but nothing noteworthy.

This rum isn't bad by any means, but for me it's not quite at the level where I'd drink it neat. It does make for a good mixer, though.

Can't have a Pain Killer without Pusser's Rum.
Not my favourite spiced rum but brings memories with it.

K vyššej hodnote by prispel dlhší koniec a väčšia prítomnosť dubových tónov.

Bought this to make a painkiller.
Strong alcohol and raisin smell.
Not as alcoholic as it smells, raisins and fudge on the tongue with a sharp finish.
Nice brown colour

This is good and not expensive rum. I like the taste and is good on the nose.

A bit too sweet for my likings. Found it difficult to down it straight. Was a good mixer though. Good value for the price.

Maybe it's just me, but the dark chocolate is too overwhelming in my mouth. It is soft in tasting and nice cinnamon brown in color, but this bottle is gonna take long time for me to empty.
