If you’re looking for an inexpensive silver, this is a good choice. Smooth and no burn when drinking neat. Used it for Coquito I just made - no complaints.
This rum is distilled from sugar cane instead of molasses. The bottler is based in Dallas Texas and gives no indication where it comes from except for a romantic story on the bottle about buried treasure on the southwest corner of Puerto Rico. It tastes like an agricole, but not by Martiniquan standards. My guess would be that it comes from Haiti, which is why it is only $13. This is still much better than anything by Bacardi or Captain Morgan. It is a cheap white mixer rum that will neither add or take away flavors from mixed drinks. There is also no penalty the next day.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It does have the earthtone of an agricole and just the right amount of sweetness for a good mixer. Not much of an afterburn like the Bar standard Bacardi and worth the try.
