Pusser’s British Navy Rum 15-Year is a blend of five rums from Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and Barbados which are produced in mainly wooden pot stills. The blend is aged for 15 years.
The company derives its name from the British Navy 'Purser' who distributed a daily 'tot' of rum ration to each sailor - a tradition which lasted from 1655 until 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias obtained the rights to blend the original recipe of the British Navy Rum.
Pusser's British Navy Rum is casually known as “Nelson’s Blood” as a nod to the famous death of Admiral Nelson. After being mortally wounded in a naval battle in 1805, Nelson’s body was preserved in a barrel of rum.
This rum is a true masterpiece. Perfect in any points. Price is high and it deserve it. Buy again if I can find other bottles.
I bought this a few years ago and loved it. Always have bottle of this lying around. A very very good rum. Rich flavour, great aroma and colour.
Pour a glass, sit back, enjoy. Liquid gold.
It's not my Kirk & Sweeney 23 (rated a 9) but I'm impressed. I was expecting a lot of hype because it's "Navy Rum" but this is actually very, very good. I haven't tasted another rum quite like it before.
On second taste this is my favorite and I've changed it to a 9 instead of an 8.
This is a great rum and u recommend to anyone. The only reason it wasn't a 9 is it is just a bit boozy. It smooths out really nice and is full of flavours.
Great neat, hints of vanilla and spice, lovely long warming aftertaste
Tastfull fullbodied English style navy rum... And the story is as great as the rum
We prefer the Gunpowder Proof, but the 15-year old is right up there.
Dark...smooth warming and morish. Nice complex flavor and lingers
Just opened and loved....
DO NOT MIX!
C'est mon type de rhum, très savoureux, je recommande
From the first sip this Rum grabs you and doesn't want to let go. Not an easy drink but not all that unpleasant either. I wouldn't describe this as an everyday sipping Rum but one for when you want a drink that will make you notice it
Not my favourite, but goood enough. Price is too high for the taste.
...divided by this rum. Had quite high expectations since I had heard it would be a nice rum, but I don't think it delivered. Too much oak and sort of a whiskey taste to it.
Kan zowel puur als met een Cola gedronken worden, zeer aangenaam in beide gevallen
Amazing sipping rum. Usually I would rate this 8, but drunking it immediately after Pampero Aniversario (reserva exclusiva) it displayed a sweetness and flavour I never found in this rum before.
Complex Rum with nice finish. More sweeten and Little less burn then the Blue Label, but still strong. Smell is old and not so good. Strong tobacco. Next time the Blue Label again. More Bang for the Bugs.
Fruity , a bit sweet but still pleasant rum ......
Another beauty of a find ... Worthy of all the awards ...
Perfect on ice in hot weather - the best combination for this rum.
This is a wonderful rum. Love the smell & taste. But, for the cost ($65 here in ATL), there are less costly rums that taste as good.
A powerful rum that I find perhaps a little overwhelming. It has a great taste, but perhaps lacking in the smoothness that I seek in a rum.
Sehr gut, etwas rauchig im Geschmack. Eine Bereicherung für meine Sammlung :-)
Probably not the most complex or delicate rum you'll ever try, but if it's a big bold sugary dose of lovely rumness your after you've found it!
Easily the best of the Pusser's line. Good value for its price point.
