Smooth mouth and throat feel. Getting flavors of vanilla, carmel, brown sugar, and slight apple. Has a nice lasting finish with good warmth. This is not a complex rum, but the blending is done well. Surprisingly smooth all around.

Hint: when I added a few drops of water, it produced a distinct carmel apple note.

Mixed with Coke, good but not great. Hard to identify aftertaste.

Drinkt prima weg. Smaak is goed en ligt tikkeltje scherp in de mond.

I gave Bacardi a chance with one of their “higher-end” rums and it’s about what I expected. Overly sweet and tasting full of additives.

A real surprising find - its a Barcardi that actually is very nice. Whilst being extremely light on our noses we weren't expecting much but actually the taste comes punching through, citrus and light woody notes all the way through and ends very creamy and with a little hint of something spicy. £31 retail and this is a really great rum for that price, we'd easily replace this bottle with a new one when it ends. We're rum snobs and are so really shocked by how it came out but the lack of smell lets it down - good, yes, just not good on all points.

Rating: 6/10

Smell - light, sweet, vanilla
Taste - rich in flavour, full-bodied, citrus, cedarwood, cocoa
After Taste - medium to long, creamy, a little hint of spice that isn't overwhelming

Od tohto brandu som skúsil len lacný a nepresvedčivý Oakheart, v minulosti tiež biely rum do cuba libre, kde v podstate nemal čo pokaziť. Fľaša 8-ročného je veľmi pekne prevedená, farba je štandardne zlatohnedá. Vôňa decentná, nie príliš výrazná, cítiť karamel, vanilku a zľahka dubové drevo. Chuťovo je trochu ostrejší, stredne sladký, zachytávam ešte kožu a dym, v ďalších dúškoch tiež intenzívne medové tóny. Relatívne dobre vybalansovaný, rušiť začne až ľahká štipľavosť a horkosť v závere. Na bežný deň pohodový sipper, na nič extra sa nehrá, vek priznáva tučným písmom. Subjektívne silná šestka, keď bude v zľave, rád sa k nemu vrátim.

This is more than likely the best Bacardi Brand rum I've had so far. This is not at all a sipping rum but it's a good mixer. I didn't find any particular notes on the nose. Slight burn going down. Once again I would say this is strictly a mixing rum. Overall if anyone asked me that they wanted a rum but they wanted strictly a Bacardi, I'm grabbing this for them.

Golden amber in color. I get quite a whiff of alcohol on the nose, with some dried apricot and vanilla. Raw alcohol hits my tongue right away, leaving any flavors behind for a while. Moments go by and some notes of dried fruits, nuts and vanilla begin to surface. It is quite dry in the aftertaste and pleasant flavors don't linger almost at all. It all adds up to, dare I say, maybe being too immature distill? It is drinkable straight up, but I would recommend this in mixing. With a glass of ice and coke, it goes down like a cheap rap.
