I wasn't expecting much from this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Good flavor, very smooth. I like it almoast as much as the Pacto Navio. Tried in a rum old fashioned, but works better on ice for me.

A bit of peppery spice - good for both mixing and sipping

This is a fairly middle of the ground rum. Nothing about it is overly offensive, but nothing stands out either.

As a mixer, it’s very good. I don’t find it overly sweet, and the hint of rum is a nice addition.

A very good 8 year rum from Bacardi!! Smoky and oaky taste, a touch of pleasant burn at first. Not so sweet (a bit of added sugar..) had it neat and on one rock paired with a dark chocolate and salty truflle. Truth is I enjoyed every sip and will do it again. I strongly suggest this rum to begginers to aged rums.

This rum is quite smooth and the best way to drink it cold and try not to mix it. I recommend to drink without any soda drinks. It's a good rum.

ok, at first I wasn’t thrilled with this Rum, but after time it’s grown on me and I’m really liking the complexities of it. I do now taste oak, along with spices and a smooth dried fruitiness. It’s not a sweet Rum, at least not in the traditional sense. This isn’t a dessert liquor, but an after steak dinner sit down with a good cigar drinking straight rum. I’ve grown fond of this bottle and I’m really looking forward to replacing my bottle that’s down to a couple drinks left. I originally gave this a 6, but have changed it to an 8. It reminds me of Bourbon which is another love of mine. So anyone who would like a good sipper Rum at a reasonable price, this is a good choice.

Merci à la famille Bacardi qui a ouvert ce breuvage au plus grand nombre.
Je l'ai découvert chez un ami et l'ai trouvé tout de suite très bon.
Il m'apporte tout ce que j'attends d'un rhum hors d'âge.

Caveat: This is my first review of a rum I have seen from some reviews might be a good, standalone sipper. I am a newbie to the rum review world so have limited experiences to compare to.
- Appearance: A dark, inviting amber
- Nose: A nicely subtle sweet, caramel and vanilla note
- Palate: It comes across immediately with the sweet caramel and vanilla flavor the nose promised prevailing. With coaxing, there is a very, very, slight hint of smoke and the tiniest alcohol bite. The finish is nice.
- Overall: I like the sweetness in this offering. It makes for a pretty smooth, easy going sipper on a quiet evening after a good meal. Sweet, warming and enjoyable. Better than the affordable price might indicate, IMHO.
