Full Body with strong wood backbone. Aromas of plums, bananas, almonds, vainilla, and caramelized sugar cane. Exceptionally smooth on the palate with a natural sweetness and smoky wood finish.

I was really excited to try this rum at ~$1100! This isn't a bad rum at all, but for the price, I was hoping I'd like it more.

Smells and tastes of molasses, vanilla, oak, almond, and sherry. VERY smooth, but this just isn't one of my favorites.

Maybe it's a bit too dry, but it has a sweetness to it. Maybe it's too mild, but it has a lot of interesting flavors. Maybe it's too aged at 35 years, while my ideal aging is about 18 years.

This rum does have a lot of goodness to it, but I simply like other rums better. Cost didn't factor into my rating.

This rum is truly one of a kind. Complex aroma and flavors. The finish is mild and not sugary. Almost negligible afterburn. It's expensive but worth it.

Spectacular rum tasting with Falcon91Wolvrn03 included Ron del Barrilito Reserva Suprema 5 Star bottle number 0959. Absolutely exquisite bottle and label design. Label states its 35 year old rum. Mahogany color. Plenty of mango and bananas with mild vanilla and plum to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Mild oakiness at the end. Very sweet, but not overly sweet rum. An amazing experience at $1,100 per bottle.
