Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

It's smooth and sweet and it's so tasty. Packed with load of vanilla. Very good price/performance ratio.

Bought this a couple of years ago when I started buying a bit more expensive rums (little did I know). A bit of banana on the nose but not much else. Sweetness overwhelms the caramel and other flavors and the finish is a bit lackluster. Beautiful packaging though…
Great rum with perfect taste. Vanilla, licorice, caramel. Very drinkable and excellent value. I buy often

Great tasty rum in an attractive bottle with wooden/cork cap. I'd say the look is as good as the taste. Exceptional.
Rich, desserty, crème, vanilla upfront. I used to sell this one and it was my favorite.

if you like smooth, not so sweet rum, then this is for you. really very smooth and delicate, personally I like more tasty rums but this is defintely good.

Great looking bottle. Tastes good to me.
Worth a try especially when on offer.
Tried this first time from my father-in-law. A very good sipper, just a little bit better than Diplomatico reserva exclusiva. I like it best with one cube of ice.

When I first opened the bottle I thought it was ok but nothing special but I kept going back to it.
It defiantly got better after opening and now is one of my favorites.
And the bottle is just cool.

Bezpochyby celkově nejhodnotnější standardně produkovaný rum v této cenové kategorii.
Neobyčejně lahodný, pokud vám ovšem nebude vadit, že chutná spíš jako vynikající koňak. Nebo tak, jak jste si vždycky představovali, že by vynikající koňak mohl chutnat. Ovšem obohacený o sice velmi decentní, ale výraznou kokosovou chuť a vůni.
Chcete-li ještě razantnější kokos, zkuste Kaniché XO (https://www.rumratings.com/brands/1344-kaniche-xo) téhož výrobce.
Nepůsobí doslazovaně, i když maličko je.
Velmi mnohovrstevné pití - co karibského si v tom budete chtít představit, to v tom najdete. Vše ale ve velmi jemné formě; zejména ovocné tóny jsou přítomny jen v nádechu. Přesto to není žádní babské (ověřeno) ani teploušské (hádal bych) pití. Chybí mu potřebná chlapácká či zženštilá póza; jediná póza, kterou to má, je harmonicky sofistikovaný hedonismus, na což zcela přízemně slyším já.
Připočteme-li k tomu velmi zdařilou adjustáž, je to navíc luxusně vyhlížející dárek, který udělá radost i těm, co ho hned nevypijí.
Tato recenze vznikla na podkladě zatím osmi spořádaných lahví; další už jsou připraveny v mém skutečném "cabinetu". A nepochybně dokud budu moci chlastat, bude v něm vždy aspoň jedna do zásoby.
