Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Very smooth, tastefull rum. A bit sweet, but not too much. I think the finish in cognac casks is what gives it the distinctive taste.
One of my all time favorite.

Yes, it's a perfect rum, very smooth and with nice smell...but, from some reason, something is missing here for me. Unfortunatelly, I can not desribe what. May I just simply expected more. Anyway, the bottle itself is heavy and very nice, so definitely a perfect gift

Nice and sweet, just as I like it. The colour has a deep warm glow.
It costs more than the Barbados, but the taste lasts twice as long...
Love it.

The thing is, round, smooth and gently. A sweet soft taste of the warm sun and with a touch of caribbean sea

Price and wow factor wise, not my choice to spend 50 plus bucks on this rum, there are better ones in the premium category. I tastes this one at a plantation rums only tasting.

Overall I think this rum is very good, has a nice balance and is not overly sweet. However for the $52 price point in ChicGo there’s other rums I prefer (Centenario 20 for example). Nonetheless this is definitely a crowd pleaser and I don’t think you can go wrong.
