Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

One of the best drinks I have ever drunk. Also It is the softest taste of rum I have experienced.

Had this one at a Rhum tasting last week and was very pleased to see it on the list. This is the kind of rhum I can really enjoy drinking. It has the right color, great scent and a slightly sweet taste with hints of coco & vanilla. I can always enjoy an aged rhum and this one will stay high on my list

Je to jeden z těch srdcových rumů, který nikdy neomrzí. Famózní vyváženost chutí a jemnosti. Všem doporučuji koupit a mít ho pro krásné chvíle s přáteli po ruce.

The aroma is soft with clear elements of banana and vanilla! The storage time has given some moves, but not so dominant!
The taste of Plantation XO is a bit less cute than many other plantation rooms, and a little more complex! This makes it easier to pick the flavors of banana and caramel - and of course vanilla! Very nice and casual taste!

Very good, very consistent bottle to bottle, very slightly rough given it's 20 years old, not sweet but mostly smooth enough and has good aftertaste. Nice bottle and presentation.
I take this one as my baseline for an 8 score - leaves room at the top for the superb and the mind-blowingly good, and room for a lot below !

I love rums from Barbados and this is fantastic mix of them. Easy to drink, but many layers are waiting for discover. And the price... unbelievable. Must try.

If you are looking for a golden liquid which will taste great in all situations you have found the right rum.
For me personally it is one of the best rums I know and can’t find something negative at it. The bottle is very nice to look at and the price is decent. All in all great rum

I was really positively surprised...love the smell and taste...could be one of my top three rums so far...
I do not want to miss it anymore.
Buy it...you will not regret it.
P.S.: Beautiful bottle as well.

Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is a blend of the oldest Bajan Rum which owns the brand, specially selected rum from the Caribbean who've been matured in ex-bourbon barrels. The blended rum is aged again after blending, this time in small French oak barrels for a period of 12 to 18 months. This double maturation gives space to the rum to make better and fuller flavors and character development which improves the result.
The precious contents of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary comes in a beautiful decanter sealed by a synthetic cork that bottle sealing perfect. The carafe shows the seductive rich color of copper and curiosity to taste.
Aromas of caramel and toasted coconut immersed open in a spicy oak aroma, followed by orange marmalade and hints of marzipan with tobacco. Tones of brown sugar, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg provide balance and harmony to the nose.
