Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Fantastiskt god och välsmakande rom med en fyllig mjuk lite söt kolasmak. En favorit i romhyllan.
This is one tasty rum. Realy well balanced. You can drink this stuff any time.
I liked the diplomatico reserva exclusica but this one exceeds it in my opinion. He is perfectly balanced in his strength and sweetness. A true delight!
Fantastic on the rocks and in a mai tai. Simply blown away by the smoothness and character. Definitely keep in stock!

Excellent rum from Barbados. Clasic, off-swet rum, with medium intense citrus nose, harmonic and enjoyable warm rum. Very long, integrated alkohol.
Vanilla & caramel notes in what is a super smooth rum...Very impressed with this one for a nice smooth drink to finish the night with..

Denna blir bara bättre och bättre för varje gång! Så god, mycket arrak, tropisk frukt och vanilj, precis som jag vill ha.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Those who are against adding sugar to rum post-distillation will be the ones that don't fancy Plantation XO. If you appreciate when a distillery does so with good taste and finesse, then you will more than likely find this to be an exceptional tasting. Have it neat, with a little water or ice, or in an old-fashioned. Lots of tropical fruit notes and a rich, caramelized depth. Baja style taken under French influence for blending and bottling (they traditionally add sugar when they bottle cognac).
