Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

you can tell by its taste and smell it IS a high quality rum, although for me the taste was a bit dull, nothing interesting and dont get me wrong - it was not so well balanced, just.. I dont know... was expecting much much more by its price and looks and opinions of my friends on this, you have to try it for sure, but next time I will get another bottle...

Para ser sincero lo probé con una presentación de 50ml. Me pareció bueno, pero no como creí, después de tantos comentarios buenos hacia él. Para mí es un 8 puntos al momento sobre todo por lo suave que es, pero sé que después cuando lo consiga y disfrute de su sabor, (que es con el dulce exacto y cítricos a mi parecer) llegar al 9 o 10 que muchos dicen.

When you open it, give a little time for this Rum. By start it can little bit kick you in nose. Good aroma, woody and rich.
Taste is more sweet. For me I found honey.
I compared this one with
Plantation Guatemala & Belize gran Añejo - 8.0
And for this one I give between 7.5-7.8

Very good rum, smooth, with a very distict and pleasant taste (slighty sweet, coconut). Unbelievable value for money. Hence a 10/10
Goede prijs kwaliteit, kost bijna niks! Net een kleine nasmaak afwijking die het geen 10 maakt.

The nose is overwhelming with caramel and vanilla, the taste is sweet but very well balanced by the alcohol. Smooth as my 4 months baby girl's but (lol). I'm in love with this rum, i would give it a 10, but i think i have to try some others first. Cheers!

Pretty new to the aged rums but this one is my favorite so far. My taste is preferring the 'sugar bombs' at this point. I suppose the sweetness is what makes it easier to sip for a newbie. Smoother than the El Dorado 12 & 15 to me. Great stuff!
Beautiful bottle, wrapped in twine. Gorgeous amber color, with a subtle and natural vanilla, nutmeg, pepper aroma. I say a natural aroma, because it doesn't impress as overpowering, just subtle and soft. The taste in the mouth, the swallow, and the aftertaste are simply perfection. Divinely balanced flavors in the highest quality aged rum. Want to mix ? NO, this is for sipping only, it's just too good. I doubt I'll ever buy another brand of top shelf rum, customer for life.

Lovely bottle and presentation. It's a wonderful expression from plantation.
Nose is tropical, desicated coconut, sweet and divine. This rum is so smooth very nice!
Could easily finish this bottle in one sitting.

I had to try this one three times before I could form a clear opinion about it. This is a delicious rum, light and crisp, sweet but not overly so.
It features a smooth feel with a mild burn and a pleasant aftertaste. There’s a bit of spice to it when you breathe, ginger maybe, and the overwhelming flavor to me is cotton candy and sugar cane with a fruit finish. There’s little to no caramel and none of the smoky flavors associated with other aged rums.
Overall, I’d say it’s a solid 9 and it took 3 tries because unlike some of my other rums, this one really likes a clean palate to shine. Greek food or anything with garlic eaten beforehand changes the flavor and makes it difficult to quantify.
It’s a nice rum but not complex. Nothing jumps out at you later, but it’s good and certainly worth having a bottle. I always have two in stock.
