Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still Distilled
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Best rum I've ever tasted so far. Smooth and delicious with a slight sweetness. Truly a great rum!
This is my favourite rum as I continue my quest for the perfect rum. This rum is still the best I've tasted so far.
The only reason I haven't given this rum 10 out of 10 is that I am still relatively new to sipping rums and haven't yet had enough to say it is the best of the best. It is however the best rum I have had to date and at around £45 per bottle does not break the bank.
The colour is light compared to many rums, a deep golden sand colour if you will. The aroma is not overly strong and apart from some warmth when you swallow, there is no burn in the mouth; no harshness at all.
The flavour is complex and light to medium in depth of flavour. It is slighty sweet, there are hints of vanilla but more prominent for me is the taste of coconut water in the first few sips.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who has not yet tried it. I personally can't fault it and believe it is as good as many that are twice the price...
Very fancy bottle with huge cap on top. Super balanced flavor in every aspect. Excellent price/performance ratio.

aromatic, smooth, perfect. Same level of premium rums like Cartavio XO or Millonario XO, but notably cheaper. Good tip.

Sweet and spicy. I NEED MORE CHARACTERS TO FILL THE MINIMUM.
Balanced, rich and smooth. Quite sweet, but when overall it is so tasty, I'm willing to give them the benefit of doubt as to what makes it so sweet. The bottle is nice and unique. Too bad I can't find it locally. Will buy again the next time I'm in the US. The price is definitely justified.
I have tasted many rums and this one is absolutely one of the best.
The taste is just right. A bit sweet and a spicy at the same time. You can taste the flavor long time after you have swolled the rum.
Only thing I'am sorry, that I only bought one bottle.
