Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Plantation XO 20th Anniversary I would give it 8.5 for its rich flavors, smooth texture, and unique character imparted by the Cognac cask finish.
I would totally recommend and buy again. First tasted at the SF California Rum Festival. Tastes great in cocktails and neat.
Had for the first time and very smooth. Especially get the vanilla. Definitely worthy of a spot in the liquor cabinet.
This is a good one!
And not too pricy. Beautiful bottle and packaging.

Fruity, with hints of caramel, maybe a little too sweet for my liking but still a very drinkable rum.

This is a great sipping rum! I find the palate more interesting than the nose. On the nose I get integrated wood, brown sugar, spice and a faint smell of beeswax and Bosc pear. The palate has some sweetness but it’s not obtrusive, and carries lovely molasses and caramel flavours into the long finish, that also has a touch of a burn. I think this is solid 8 for me, nothing more or less. The bottle cannot fail to impress, either.

This rum lingers on your palate leaving hints of vanilla and caramel. The wood of the cask boosts the flavor. Great rum.

On est sur un rhum très typé du fait d'une forte présence de notes de coco. Au nez c'est divin, l'alcool ne se fait pas du tout sentir et on est sur de belles notes caramélisés de banane, de café et évidemment de coco. En bouche c'est très très gourmand, suave, un poil trop sucré à mon goût. Il me laisse aussi une petite note astringente à l'arrière de la langue, pas vraiment agréable mais qui n'enlève en rien la qualité de ce rhum. Je n'en prends qu'un verre en digestif car il peut vite saturer le palet mais c'est un vrai plaisir.

Vzhladom na hype okolo tohoto kusku a cenu ktoru som objavil v nejakom shope (tesne okolo 40€) som si povedal ze to musim skusit tiez.
Aroma je velmi zaujimava citit jemna alkoholovost trochu sudu, trochu ovocia.
Po ochutnani najprv otvori tropicke ovocie, ciastocne kokos. Casom prejne do kokos az skorica.
Vzhmadom ma ostatne recenzie by som ho cakal ale sladsi (asi som proste zvyknuty na sladkosti).
Na chvoste sa ale chut rychlo straca, mozno nejaka jemna sudovost az horkost ostava.
Cakal som ze tomu strelim za 9 od boku a nebavime sa.
Ale myslim ze hodnotenie, co je tu momentalne (8,4) sedi uplne presne.
