10 Flor de Caña Spresso Coffee Liquor Ratings

I recently discovered this while on vacation in Nicaragua - it was well worth the risk of deviating from straight rums. This is more a liqueur than flavored rum, even though it is literally just FdC rum, flavored with coffee and cane sugar. It has a wonderful espresso profile, not sickly saccharine in character and just enough rum to burn through and be something special on its own. Mixing into coffee adds oomph to the beverage, but dilutes the character so much - perhaps, from the heat - that you lose that silky blend of flavors as they are separated out into your cup. It is perfect as a digestivo, or paired with a dessert of fresh fruits or ice cream, or poured over pound cake and cookies.

I’ve yet to try this in a proper cocktail, but enjoyed it poured straight into a coconut (with its own juice); eating the Spresso-soaked meat afterward is a treat. It will make a definitive Black/White Russian, I imagine, and will certainly be added to some tiki favorites calling for java flavors.

I don’t foresee myself stocking Kahlua again, so long as I can get my hands on this...

This is the best coffee flavored liquor and is made using 7 year aged rum. Absolute Perfection. A must try for a rum and coffee lover.

Bottle purchased in Wichita KS. Pours black as your soul. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and chicory. Very thin body. Super sweet. Marshmallows. Chocolate covered coffee beans in a glass. Fun and different.

I am not a coffee drinker as I do not like the smell, but I like the flavor of a good coffee. I wanted to have a coffe liqueur in my drinks cabinet, but Kalua and Tia Maria I found too sweet and artificial in its flavor. Decided to try this as it is rum based
Not only do I use this my cocktails, but I would also drink this on the rocks - which is saying a lot from an non-coffee drinker. It has the right amount of sweetness with a hint of chocolate. And there is the undercurrent of the rum, which makes it much smoother.

I finally got a hold of a bottle of this espresso flavored 7 Year dry rum from Nicaragua. It is strictly for coffee lovers as this flavor is in your face like any espresso. No cream and very little sugar if any at all. It is bottled at 30% ABV. No need to buy any more Kahlua, as long as I can find this one again. As a flavored rum, I would rate it higher, but I rate all flavored rums at a 6 or less.

Being honest I feel I can't rate this highly as technically a liquor, I know new grove in my list is every high up because it's much better ... If you like your coffee bitter than this is for you ... Stron espresso taste with a decent percentage of rum but sadly stops there ... Excellent for a espresso rum Martini though

So we just had a great meal, and what is better to follow up instead of coffee. Exactly. Baileys can sod off, Nicaragua coffee for the win!

Velmi sladký kávový likér co více dodat? Mezi ženami si fanynku najde stejně jako další elixíry.
