Straight up, not my thing.

Its my first agricole, wont be my last, but I will do my homework before the next one.

I find the whole experience of smell and taste of this to be just off putting. In all fairness my much preferred rum's are from Barbados and Dominican Republic. So this is me was very different.

The word I would use would be aggressive. aggressive on the nose and the taste buds, you can get the coffee and choc vibe going on, but way too much power for a sipping rum for me.

Nice with a mixer as 2 parts mix and 1 part rum, seems to more neutral.

Based on the price of it and that I would only use it as a mixer rum, I have given it a 5.

The profile of the chocolate and caramel flavours from that oak barrel combined with agricole juice ... This stuff is delicious , expensive but well worth a sip to see a prime example of aged agricole

Smooth and rich this is a great example of how the French Rhum strikers a chord. Bold flavor and mouth feel that is reminiscent of a cognac or brandy.

I really enjoy it.

The distillery Saint James in Martinique located at Sainte-Marie develops the largest range of Agricultural rums from pure sugarcane juice. A well-matured rhum agricole from Marinique-based distillers, Saint James - a brand that goes back all the way to 1882! Impressive stuff, showing off a great balance between rhum agricole vibrancy and classic dark rum richness.
Brown sugar, fresh Alpine herbs, fennel, butterscotch and honeycomb.
