Been to Antigua several times and this the best rum I’ve tasted from this brand. Amazing sipper for only 5 years of aging. The port finish improves this rum by leaps and bounds.

Nosing
Sweet port ,oak raisens ,brown sugar

Taste

Oak watered down ,port oak cask

The weakness in my taste buds is port cask and this delivers ... Not on the scale of Fsq as it's quite basic but still a delightful drop to have in a collection

A light fruity smell, some vanilla and port. The taste is also fruity, spicy and dry. The finish is slightly dry

Dostal jsem se ke vzorečku a naprosto parádní rum s krásnou vůní a příjemnou chutí.

English Harbour have never disappointed me. Bought me this during a vacation in Antigua, have one from batch 001 since before without have tasting it. I also got the opportunity to get a guided tour at the distillery (ADL) and the “ageing house”. My fantastic guide who origins from Madeira and is related to the founders of the brand told me that the Port Cask Finish is the one of the three they’re most pleased with in batch 002 and “I’ll drink to that”.
I can tell you that this one has a fantastic nose. The taste is very distinct with great flavours and the afterburn is great.

I bought this one and Sherry Cask Finish.
They are both good, however Port Cask finish is better for me.
Becouse sherry flover is familiar in spanish style rum, this Port flavor is noble feeling than sherry.

Ve vůni i v chutí je krásně cítit portské, jemný, nasládlý, velká paráda 👏

46% ABV. Faint nose. Aging: 5 years bourbon followed by 9 months port (the longest finish of the series).

Nose: standard EH, with some varnish? Palate: Great flavor, deep port-y notes, but can't really taste the extra strength (so, good thing this isn't 40%!).

These finishes are interesting, but rather overpriced IMO.

Batch 002 bottle no. 4309. Aftappet december 2017.

God rom med smag af bourbon og port, med en lidt bitter finish.

Fruity body with strong port tones. Burn is well balanced with pleasant burn.
