Edit: the more I taste it, the better it gets πŸ™ƒ
This young rum is pretty subtle in nose and palate. Hints of vanilla in the nose.
Not very aromatic on the tongue, but smooth and very pleasant for this age. I had older rums with less taste.

Rather thin. I miss some character and volume of more aged rums.

This has everything you would want a mid-priced rum to have. It really is not that far removed from the Plantation XO - it's not as smooth, but it has more bite and tang. I guess it depends what you like. Both have a hint of sweetness and are great to sip. This one is much better value for money, and as has been pointed out elsewhere, if you are in the UK, the Marks and Spencers Bajan XO is more or less the same stuff, a fraction cheaper with a different label.

The predominant tastes are molasses and very subtle caramel and vanilla. The aftertaste is warm with a slight alcohol burn...but of the type you'd want, not the type that might make you splutter.
It's definitely a sipper and best drank straight or on the rocks.

A little strong in alcohol, but super worth to sip pure, great complex aroma, super value for money, you can order it for below 20€.

Easy to drink, not to strong. Great rum. Difficult to find in some countries

For the price of about €29. This is a great rum! It has all the texture and flavour of a rum you want, without the harshness or over sweetened taste that you get for regular cheaper rums. This may not be the best in the Plantation line, but it still has a great nose and careml taste.

This is our β€œhouse” sipping rum. It is smooth with lots of caramel and just goes down. The most you could be upset about is it might not be overly complex, but after 2 or 3 who cares!

Maybe not the best for drinking neat, very good with coke. Price is cheap as well, only about $21 at my local store. Very good for value

It's hard to rate this because every year there's a new bottle and a new style. It's definitely been getting sweeter and sweeter. When I first tried this it was phenomenal and such a good price point. Now it's drifting, like so many other rums into the diplomatico, el dorado, ron zacapa, over sweet "aged" rum whirlpool.

Nice smell and taste of vanilla but a little bit hot for me. I was sipping it and it seemed to have just a little too much burn for me. I would be alot more forgiving beacause of the price but today I just had the vizcaya 12 year and for 20 bucks its insanely good and smooth

This rum is very impressive for the price. Easy to drink but not too sweet. Equally good for either aperitif or as after-diner drink. A must have for the liquor cabinet.
