I got this one free with other Plantation rum at my local dealer. Not very complex but a nice taste and smooth overall.

Turns out to be one of my favorite rum destinations. Light burn, wood, toffey and dried fruits. Very nice for a good price!

Håber med tiden at have hele serien :)

This bottle is a great price for an 18 year old rum. Really nice subtle flavors. Sweet and round, brandy flavors are forward with the bajan rummy kick on the finish. Has a long long-finish. Sits in the tongue and develops well after you drink.

Nice that it's at least 42%. Some good room for flavor.

The 2000 Plantation Barbados Old Reserva is a blend of 9-12 year old rums that were allowed to store in bourbon and sherry barrels. In France, the rum got its finish in cognac barrels. The gold yellow rum has 42% alcohol. The bottle is typically plantation appealing and timeless. The rum is very rare to buy.

The Plantation Barbados from 2000 was sweet in the nose with barrel aromas and also some alcohol. Not very strong but typical Barbados. On the palate he was warm and sweet. There is vanilla, toffee, tropical fruits and also wood notes. All not super intense or intrusive. The finish then medium long and accompanied by the sweetness, the wood and also some alcohol. No mild rum but also not excessively intense. Compared to the XO of Plantation rather angular.

This rum was my first rum, which I deliberately bought for pure drinking and convinced me so much that I stayed with rum as my favorite sipper. So for me it is special. A really good, solid rum and who finds a bottle should buy it.

note fruttate e tropicali in leggerezza, risulta interessante

Sugar: 18 gpl. Some similarities to the Plantation XO. It's cheaper and in this case you get what you paid for. It's not as sweet or smooth as the XO, nor does it have the flavours and complexities that the XO has. A bit of coconut and banana in the taste. It's a good mixing rum for me but it does have some potential when mixed with a single ice cube. I will pass on this and stick with the XO.
