En dejlig hvid rum der kan bruges til det meste i baren. Er ikke god som sipper.
Bought this for Mojitos, absolutely love it in them. Burns a little too much for me to drink neat, but if you’re looking for something to mix with, look no further! Incidentally also great for making vanilla extract and subsequently creme brûlée.
EDIT: Having tasted some more rums, I'm deciding to bump this up to an 8 because of its price to performance: I can get this for 13.90 €, and at that price I don't think it can be beat. I wish it tasted a little bit more intense, but at that price it's still a great performer.
Great in my rum and coke pretty smooth and affordable
An excellent moderately priced rum.Good for mixed.
Last time I was able to find it I bought four bottles for all my white rum mixing needs. Not a true young white rum but an aged rum filtered over Charcoal.
I'm not a big fan of the white rums, but this is a good one! Soft and round, with perfectly balanced sweetness (something I value a lot in the sweet rums), easily distinguishable ripe banana with just right vanilla and tropical fruit notes and smooth finish.
Perfect for classic Daiquiri.
Sometimes I'm not in the mood for anything complex. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for something good, and this is easy to drink but flavorful. it's great in cocktails and on its own, and probably a good gateway rum for noobs
This rum is an amazing white rum. Put it in a cocktail or drink and it's just perfect. Drink it neat and it'll give you a taste of vanilla and coconut with a scent of bananas.
It’s mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Being a Plantation aficionado, I had to taste this. Unfortunately for us in Quebec, apart from the winters, it means getting the 3 stars through an elaborate mix of private import agency and state controlled process.
Luckily I am quite stubborn and last summer I ended ordering two cases of the stuff and sharing it with my friends. It was indeed a hit and a unanimous winner. So much so that a month latter I order two additional cases.
Everyone agreed it could easily be sipped on the rocks, with some nice tropical aromas of bananas and mango. I personally made the best cuban classics (Mojitos and Daiquiris) with it.
I think the best result was one my friend having the brilliant idea of mixing this in a freshly opened coconut (the fresh ones cut and wrapped, not the old fibrous ones) with some ice.
I'm sure most people reading this know about the elaborate process to create this white rum. To be honest, the only white rum approaching this quality is the Diplomatico Blanco Reserva, and it's practically twice the price.
Let's just say Plantation nailed it again.
