Dependable addition to any tiki bar, this versatile and widely distributed rum delivers good value. Stands on its own well in a daiquiri and plays well with others in more complicated drinks. Use it in anything that calls for a white rum or a lightly aged blended rum.

It's not aged too long, and you can tell when tasting it straight - there's some of that alchohol flavor that comes through more in lesser aged rum. But it tastes of good quality nonetheless. There's some hints of banana notes in there. Overall pretty simple and clean tasting.

This is a recommended workhorse bottle of rum to have on hand.

Nose: Window cleaner. Flavour: not much reasonably smooth with an unpleasant finish, Needs to be mixed. I will finish mine with coke.

I don't drink many white rums but was so glad I tried this one. Majority of what I have consumed is aged and this stands toe to toe with any I have placed in the 7 rating. May be tough to find but worth the search.

On the nose, you get rich sugar and fruit notes with a touch of cachaca grassy hints. Palate has vanilla and tropical fruit and a touch of ripe banana.

The nose is pretty faint, hints of vanilla, spices, tropical fruits, maybe a little vegetal note? Sweet on the palate with a hint of sour, very little bite, gentle vanilla and some richness in the mouthfeel along the lines of macadamia nuts. The finish is smooth and has bits of menthol/eucalyptus going on, almost refreshing. A good bit more complexity than your bog-standard whites, and works exceptionally well in most cocktails calling for such.

Very pleasant with a mixer. Not quite up to sipping standard.

I consider it the best white rum for cocktails - a sweet smell, lack of alcohol in the aroma, low price and no headache in the morning - what more do you need?
