Pampero Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the Pampero company’s 25th anniversary. The rum is a blend of rums ranging in maturity from four to six years and aged in whisky and bourbon barrels.
The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

I think this rum is good for weekdays evening...rich taste, and good smoothness.

if you are into good sweet rum, for a great price this is one of the better choices.
as Diageo wants to premiumitize Zacapa line, this brand got stuck out in their marketing focus.
however, if they want to pour marketing and packaging on Zacapa to build up prices but leave this one as is, then i'm fine with it.
some prefer to have provenance of their rum to be island based, but sometimes non island producers offer great liquid.
little too sweet for my palate, but if i ever need sweet rum at good price, i usually go for this brand.
Pure, on ice or as a cuba libre : always a pleasure!
For it's price a nice rum, bit to strong, nice flavor, nothing special, but for a night of rum drinking good enough.

Nice rum with sweet taste. I personally prefer a bit more strong rums but this one is a must to try..

Ranked 7.5 on my scale, but the bottles here are never half full. Maybe an 8. Nice oaky flavor, but missing just a bit of that molasses flavor that I enjoy.
