Enjoyed a bottle of Cane Island Cuba with my buddies in Germany. Nice bottle, but rather basic label. Dry rum in general terms. Not bad, but far from great. Strong burn for sure.

Bit burny but overall not so bad and quite a strong, almost Jamaican flavour.

Rich amber in a glass.
In the nose nice tart, leather, tobacco, dark caramel, toffee and wood.
On the palate it fills the mouth and is warm but the added sweetness whitens and blurs everything.
In the finish a bit sticky, bitter wood.
Too bad, I can't befriend this one. A sweet rum without claims for all days.

December 2018)

Taste is rich and has a bit of everything. There is smoke, caramel, vanilla, black pepper. Rum is creating a film in the mouth. Aftertaste is spicy with lightly bitter end.

Lucka 18.

Not the smoothest, but it is indeed made in the Cuban style with nuanced sweet wood flavor.
