Amazing flavours straight from the nosing, to the delicious tasting and powerful finish. Strongly recommended for all the funk junkies and natural full flavoured rum lovers if you can still find a bottle of this. Really complex flavours and lip smackingly good to boot!

Overriped bannanas, pineaples, other tropical fruits, gasoline. Very intense.

In der Nase..... da muss das Glas auch nicht hin, der ganze Raum füllt sich mit funky Rumduft. Frische grasige, moosige und blumige Noten bilden einen weichen Boden den Du nicht berührst. Du wirst von diesen harten, sperrigen, nach Klebstoff und Glasreiniger riechenden Nuancen empor gerissen. Irgendwo steht noch ein Früchtekorb mit Papaya, Ananas, Rambutans und nicht ganz reifen Bananen, obendrauf liegen Flocken von zartbitterer Schokolade. Du träumst einen sehr intensiven Traum.
Am Gaumen schmeicheln die 57 % vol. schon fast zärtlich die Geschmacksknospen und es öffnen sich Aromen Welten. Eine einladende, tiefe, dunkle Welt mit satten Aromen von Kakao, Kardamom, schwarze Pflaumen, angefaulte Birnen. Eine andere Welt ist voller frischer tropischer Früchte und grünem, belebtem Dschungel. Ein fantastisches Universum bleibt zu entdecken. Du träumst einen lebendigen Traum.
Im Abgang sehr, sehr lang, Du leckst mit der Zunge den Fruchtsaft auf, mmm... Pflaumen, Ananas, Melonen, Papayas, Bananen.. und Du träumst weiter.
Ein Rum dem eigentlich keine Beschreibung gerecht wird. Der ist einfach nur geil !!! Hochoktanig, zuckerfrei und doch "zuckersüss", für Neugierige, Entdecker, Profis und Geniesser.

Crystal clear in glass.
In the nose..... the glass doesn't have to go there either, the whole room fills with funky rum scent. Fresh grassy, mossy and floral notes form a soft ground that you don't touch. You're torn up by these hard, bulky nuances that smell of glue and glass cleaner. Somewhere there's a basket of fruits with papaya, pineapple, rambutans and not quite ripe bananas, topped with flakes of dark chocolate. You are dreaming a very intense dream.
On the palate the 57% vol. almost tenderly caress the taste buds and worlds of flavours open up. An inviting, deep, dark world with rich aromas of cocoa, cardamom, black plums, rotten pears. Another world is full of fresh tropical fruits and green, lively jungle. A fantastic universe remains to be discovered. You dream a living dream.
The finish is very, very long, you lick up the fruit juice with your tongue, mmm... Plums, pineapples, melons, papayas, bananas... and you dream on.
A rum that no description can really do justice to. It is just awesome !!! High octane, sugar free and yet "sugar sweet", for the curious, discoverers, professionals and connoisseurs.

The Habitation Velier 2017 Forsyths WPE is a molasses rum from Jamaica, which was produced by Worthy Park in the pot style process. Previously, the molasses was allowed to ferment for 3 months. The rum is bottled without storage in cask strength with 57% alcohol. The ester content is pleasantly high at 597gr/hlpa. The rum is naturally without sugar, filtration or dyes.

The WP is very powerful in the nose and the ester shows directly what it can do. Distinct solvents and many fruity notes such as orange and other citrus fruits are perceptible. The rum should have at least 30min to breathe so that the sharpness does not disturb the nosing. Here you can learn a lot about esters. On the palate, the rum has an amazingly pleasant sweetness that meets fruity aromas. The 57% are not aggressive and the finish is characterized by ester notes which stay very long in the mouth.

The WPE is a fantastic rum which can be drunk pure without any problems. I like it a lot. Also very suitable for blending. A great complex rum, even if I miss the barrel notes and it is therefore for me to learn, blending and as a drink in between.

Der Habitation Velier 2017 Forsyths WPE ist ein Melasse Rum aus Jamaika, welcher von Worthy Park im Pot Stil Verfahren hergestellt wurde. Vorher durfte die Melasse ganze 3 Monate gären. Der Rum wird ohne Lagerung in Fassstärke mit 57% Alkohol abgefüllt. Der Ester Gehalt ist mit 597gr/hlpa angenehm hoch. Der Rum ist natürlich ohne Zucker, Filtration oder Farbstoffen.

Der WP ist in der Nase sehr Kraftvoll und der Ester zeigt direkt was er kann. Deutliche Lösungsmittel und viele fruchtige Noten wie Orange und andere Zitrusfrüchte sind wahrnehmbar. Der Rum sollte mindestens 30min zum atmen haben damit die Schärfe das Nosing nicht stört. Hier kann man viel über Ester lernen. Am Gaumen hat der Rum eine erstaunlich angenehme Süße die auf fruchtige Aromen trifft. Die 57% sind dabei nicht aggressiv und der Abgang ist durch Ester Noten geprägt welche sehr lange um Mund präsent bleiben.

Der WPE ist ein fantastischer Rum welcher problemlos pur getrunken werden kann. Auch zum Blenden sehr gut geeignet. Ein toller komplexer Rum, auch wenn mir dann doch die Fassnoten fehlen und er daher für mich zum lernen, blenden und mal zwischendurch trinken ist.

Lovely high ester Jamaican rum from Worthy Park. Pickles, fruits, aceton - complex and great nose and palate. Love it.

One of the best whites I've ever had. Grassy w/o additives, yet rounded and sweet. Wonderful nose, pure cane, grass and hospital smell :) Full of flavor, no negatives (except it's gonna be gone within a couple of years).

Aroma is not very pleasant, strong alcohol burning in nose. Taste is much better, sweet, herbal, fruity, wood and earth tones. Aftertaste is long with many layers. 8.5 points

Excellent in a planter's punch. This rum has enough power (and esters) to stand against all the other ingredients, and to give this old, well-known drink a pretty interesting twist.
