Nice aroma with fruits, caramel and butterscotch.
Taste is strong but smooth, with again fruits, vanilla, oak, peach and many others. Aftertaste could be a bit longer anf taste a bit more complex, therefore "only" 9.5points. If you will have chance, you should taste it.

Aroma: Parádní vůně cedru, broušená kůže, stará kožená kabela, sladší koření, skořice, bujón, propolis, čokoládové pralinky, perník, nové koření, hřebíček. Vůně je proměnlivá, hutná, nasládlá. Moc mě baví. (94 b)
Chuť: Na jazyku pěkně olejnatý. Plnotučný rum, nabitý chutěmi, které jsou přesně v tom samém stylu, jako aroma. (92 b)
Body: 93/100
Shrnutí: Dlouho mi takhle žádný rum nesedl, jako tento Foursquare. Šestý ochutnaný rum z této palírny a zatím jednoznačně nejlepší.

8.25/10. Would buy a bottle if I had the chance. I would put it right behind '07 12 year.

Finaly I had opportunity to get to this one. Many says that's moment where FSQ found their magic. From subjective feeling I agree that 2005 and 2008 are great together with Empery, Redoutable and Nobiliary. Now I'm looking fwd to discover more.

Rum zraje 12 let v sudech po bourbonu.
Vyrobeno bylo 24 000 lahví (12 000 EU a 12 000 USA).

Aroma: Čerstvě nalakované dřevo, vanilka, kokos. Jemné, uhlazené
Chuť: Výrazně dřevitá, štípavá
Dozvuk: Kandované ovoce, dřevo a úplně v pozadí vanilka se sušeným ovocem. Velmi dlouhý
Sladkost: 0/3
Porovnáván s 2007: Ve vůni a chuti jsou jen drobně odlišné. Vítězem je 2005 s vybroušenějším ovocným závěrem. U 2007 je velmi hořký. Oba jsou však velmi dobré sudovky.

This rum comes in at 59% and in spite of the increase in ABV it is so smooth that it goes down very easily with a long lasting finish. Very different taste than the “Detente” with oak being more prominent. Another gem from Mr. Seale but I prefer the “Detente”.

Part of my do not open collection. To be rated in the future.

Strong oak barrel aroma up front and the taste lingers for a while. I am quite surprised to find a little vanilla note and the rest are tropical spice. Very good stuff!
