This is a review of the 42% version. Plenty of heat and grass then some honey or honeysuckle comes through. It is sippable but for me made several excellent Caipirinhas both with fresh limes and fresh pineapple..

It’s got that grassy funk I expect of a cachaca, but also a luscious floral honey character that makes it approachable yet complex-why do those seem like they gotta be opposites? It plays well with others, where other, lesser cachacas seem a little abusive in their relationships.

As a disclaimer, I'm not a big fan of cachaças, and as of this review (#374), I've never rated a cachaça above a 6. But this is easily the best cachaça I've ever had, and it's an extremely good value at only $37.95 (2018 price at any Oregon liquor store that carries it); I easily rate it a 7.

Smells and tastes of brine, amburana, honeysuckle, and sugarcane. I really like the amburana, but maybe it's the honeysuckle that makes this my current favorite cachaça. Much tastier than any other cachaça I've ever tried.

If you like cachaça, you really should give this one a try, as I believe it's the best tasting cachaça out there (and I've tried a lot!)
