Smooth. Tasty. Neat or in my favorite mixed drink, Pain Killer. This is a favorite of mine.

I find this rum falls a bit flat when blended with other rums in cocktails. It can overpower the other rums.

Very strong brown sugar smell. Sweet, but with a small burn. Wasn’t terrible neat, but this makes a fantastic Dark and Stormy. Tastes just like a ginger snap

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this bottle. The color is very dark, the nose is filled with molasses and vanilla with underlying notes of oak. You’ll find a very sweet flavor with a little bite on the end. I would recommend drinking this as a dessert rum.

This is my favorite rum for Dark and Stormy. Nice molasses notes.

The standard holder for the old style of rum know as Black Strap as it is distilled from that type of molasses and usely has some either added to the finished spirit or is dosed with other syrups. A must have for making the classic Corn & Oil cocktail as well as a "float" in Tiki/Tropical drinks.

Enjoyed a bottle of Cruzan Estate Diamond Black Strap Rum. Very nice bottle and label design. Dark golden color. Oak and pure alcohol to your nose and palate. Strong burn at the end being so dry. Whisky lovers can add 2 points to my score.

Very dark, not very complex but still an interesting drink.

A lot of molasses flavor, not a sipper but great for a unique rum & coke or a bold dark & stormy.
