Flawed with a glimmer of hope
Phenomenal rum tasting with Falcon91Wolvrn03 continued with a super rare Duncan Taylor Single Cask Trinidad 1991 25y. Pretty nice bottle and label design. Bright golden color. Super boozy to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Plenty of woodiness, mild peppery flavors and a tad of sweetness masked with 52.1% alcohol. Strong and a very short ending.
There is not much goodness to this rum. Cost ~$210 at thewhiskyexchange.com, whom I trust to deliver non-counterfeit rum.
This is all heat, without much flavor at all. Seriously, at 52.1%abv, this rum really has very little flavor. Smells and tastes of alcohol, eucalyptus, and pepper. No rum goodness at all. A huge disappointment for my taste.
