Ko Hana KOHO rum, a heirloom Hawaiian cane juice-based rum thatโs distilled the same way as the KEA rum, but then aged in new American white oak barrels (char level 3) or used bourbon barrels for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled at 86 proof.

One of my favorite agricole Rums for sipping, dark and stormys and mai tai's. Excellent flavor. This is my go to rum for everyday drinking. I've had a chance to visit their plantation a few times in Oahu and always enjoy the visits. Highly recommended!
Worst of the Hawaiian darker rums. It has some richness of flavor but is completely out of balance. No body, not smooth with a big burn at the finish. What complexity of flavor it has is lost due to its complete lack of drinkability. Not a sipper. To rich and artificially flavored for a proper rum and coke. There are good Hawaiian rums. Keep looking.
Love this rum. There is a slight burn, but dissipates quickly. Very flavorful and well blend with hints of vanilla. You could definitely tell it was aged but not off putting. I would definitely buy again
"Koho" means "to select or choose." This rum spent 3โ6 months in new oak, then 18+ months in (primarily) bourbon barrels before being bottled at 45% ABV.
Really playful nose. Vanilla/caramel, cherries, oak. Slightly reminiscent of a wine barrel ageing room. Tastes delicious. Punches above its weight.

This is a great Agricole! Even better than their regular KOHO imho.
I only rate it an '8' since Agricole is generally not my favorite style, but this is great!
Smells and tastes of oak, bourbon, sugar cane, and cinnamon. Really nice if you like the Agricole style! I highly recommend it!!!
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

... but NOT sippable! Got this as a gift from my family in Oahu and greatly appreciated., but just not worth the money if you are seeking rum to buy...
I just realized they have other "flavors" and I will visit them in Oahu and do their tour next trip there and see if they have something "better"...
Otherwise, spend your money on something else unless you like their pretty bottle...
