Autentico Nativo 15-Year

I liked this rum. It had a sweetness to it that i quite liked, but then, I do enjoy sweet rums. It is a good sharing rum.

It's not the best rum by any means in the world. Definitely seems dyed and/or sweetened to get such a dark color. But for a 15 year aged rum at this price point? I'm not complaining in the slightest.

Silně karamelová vůně, koření, vanilka.
Chuť karamel, tabák, skořice, hřebíček, lehce štiplavá sladší.
Závěr dřevitý, sladší až bourbonový.

Sweetness as as, not too much. Not expensive, quite tasty, but no long lasting aftertaste. Coffee and vanilla, dark chocolate.

Now this one is my new favourite now in this price category, not expensive and not sweet at all, just pure, leather taste, really amazing pairing this one with good cigar. Very pleasant surprise, I love it.

Tento panamský rum je z cenovej kategórie na strope lacnejších rumov, vzhľadom k dobrým recenziám som skočil po 15-ročnej vyzretej fľaši. Farba je tmavá, gaštanová, obávam sa trochu silnejších korenín. Pri prvom vytiahnutí korkovej zátky s dreveným topom ma ovalil ostrejší syntetický pach lepidla. Nevzdávam to, pomaly usrkávam, na jazyk sa mi však dostáva v kontraste s vôňou jemný nápoj. Intenzívne cítiť kožu, tabak a samozrejme dubové drevo. V druhom dúšku sa už kochám nasládlymi tónmi dosť podobnými Diplomaticu, teda je prítomné silné karamelové dochucovanie. Zaujímavá komplexná chuť, v ďalších dúškoch zachytávam aj ľahké ovocné tóny. Po piatich minútach nie je po prvotnej syntetike ani chýru, zjavne fľaška potrebovala vyvetrať. Koniec trochu kratší, s náznakom trpkosti. Po dlhšej dobe tak objavujem chutný kúsok za rozumnú cenu. Pekne chuťovo vyvážený, tak akurát sladký rum, určite sa k nemu budem pravidelne vracať. Silných 7.

I bought it for the price - $35. It came in a cardboard packaging barrel, and I thought the packaging and label were trying to oversell the product. However, this is quite a nice rum for the price. I would definitely buy it again.

A good rum. Not to sweet, a nice little burn. Panama delivers a high quality rum.

This rum has a dark mahogany colour in the bottle, making it a temptation for sipping. The nose is light with alcohol and a mild vanilla.
The flavour is spot on with caramel, oak, vanilla and mild spice. There is little burn and a finish with strong oak flavour.
$75 @ LCBO is a little overpriced, but worth it to try something new. I would have liked to try the Autentico ovenproof rum but they did not sell it in Ontario.
