Sainsbury's Caribbean spiced

If payday is still a few days away, this is a great alternative. As the store-own rums go, this one is competitive in price, plenty of bottle sizes available and tastes far better than some of the others. Clear sugary taste but bitter and the alcohol is very apparent both initially and in the aftertaste. Cannot recommend it neat unfortunately, good with any mixer.

Joined this site just to warn other about this awful beverage. Anything made under the name Sainsburys like Carribean Pearl is made by a french distillery. See the label. This has no scent of rum, sugar cane or molasses. This is corn liquor with heads (read as acetone) and food coloring. It is not only awful, it is deceptive and should cease from being sold. Youve been warned. Had to argue with the guy at Sainsburys, but actually returned mine for store credit and got something else. Never returned liquor before, ever. Yes, it was THAT bad.

In my opinion you won't get better for the price not far off Captain Morgan's.Have tasted worse rum that's a lot more expensive.

At around a tenner a bottle you can't expect much. Have had worse rums that were more expensive
