It really reminds me of a Speyside or sherry cask whisky, and I don’t review very well, I could taste chocolate and leather. Drink it neat, Smoke a robusto, and love your life.
Just back from this years rumcruise at Baltic Sea with Birka cruises. It’s a fantastic opportunity to taste lots of rum and to participate in different Master classes. This rum was one of the brands in an Master class.
There are definitely some similarities with other Panamanian rum such as Zafra and others. Maybe because the great “Don Pancho” are involved in most of them. I don’t think it can compete with for example Zafra 21, but it’s OK.
You can recognise chocolate, caramel, some oak and hints of leather. It’s not very complex and the afterburn is short to medium long.
