Great in a dark & stormy and I quite enjoy it on the rocks. It does benefit from a splash of water or some time for the ice to melt. I find the sweet, almost chocolate finish to be perfect for after supper. Not quite a daily drinker but a good addition to the cabinet.
From their website " The doors to the original Coldstream Clear Distillery opened in September 2015".
Its a tough go but a brave team for anyone to tackle the making of spirits yet alone rum. This is fine a mixing rum but sadly not yet as a sipping. You have to give them "A" for effort. I am sure they will increase their rating over the years. Heck they only are babies in the industry compared to others who have been in the business for hundred of years. Keep up the great work.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Maybe this was a bad early batch or something and the young distillery couldn't afford to just dump it and try again. Sour milk covered over with added butterscotch flavouring, and that's all it has going on. Butyric acid issues perhaps? Regardless, this never should have made it to market. I will never finish this little 200ml bottle, but I might keep it around as a low water mark against which to judge other rum.
