42.5% ABV. Nose: very woody and bourbon-like. Lightens after time, with some briney astringency. Some vanilla. Palate: also extremely bourbon-y. Loads of American oak, with hints of chocolate and a touch of caramel.
Very good. This has to be aged in new oak (a hallmark of American craft rums). I wish I'd tasted this before I bought my last bottle of bourbon; it's kinda the best of both worlds. If you like bourbon, you'll like this. I prefer Richland or Foursquare.
