A surprisingly well rounded, a bit oily but still soft.

Beautiful light mahogany in the glass.
The nose recognizes the typical Demerara scent immediately! This heavy, sweetish depth, freshly baked bread with cocoa and freshly picked white fruit, dipped in caramel cream.
On the palate, enjoy the taste buds of the 45% Vol. Delicious vanilla pastry with delicate caramel filling, a wealth of tropical fruit on a toasted wood plate. An ingenious drop with which one likes to spend some hours and makes any description superfluous.
In the finish (to complete) comes the fresh sweet biscuits in the foreground, surrounded by cream caramel poles, some spices as a "topping".
A rum for connoisseurs of unadorned Guyana rum. Attention, even if the words sweet are used here, this rum is not sweet! So nothing for sweet El Dorado Lovers (yes, yes, he is also delicious) :-)

and a great pour if you have an argument with someone who thinks rum is all about sweetness.
I enjoyed my bottle, but I wouldnt replace it.
If you like your rums sweet, stay away.

A 12y Demerara from the PM still. But with just 45% abv?
The nose is bright with white fruits and an impession of wine. Yes a PM but not a rich one.
I get first the white fruits in the nose with citrus and herbs followed by light sweetness. An impression of sugar cane.
On the palet I get almost the same. The start is weak or watery, the dilution doesn't work out. Maybe a whisky love can enjoy it, but I miss more saturation. There are better PMs in cask strength out there.
It should be older I think or it should have more abv.
Therefore 68 points.
