New Holland Michigan Amber rum, a double pot-distilled, molasses- and cane sugar-based rum that comes off the still at 150 proof and is aged at least six months in a variety of barrels, including used wine barrels, used whiskey barrels, and new American white oak barrels. Very good with cola. Maybe a little better than the white, even.
This rum comes alive in amber. While I liked their White - the Amber takes the title, my favorite of the trio. Rich, the visit to the barrel brings out more caramel, a touch of sweet to a nice hint of wood. Versatile, stands up for mixing - yet is just as at home over a rock; even straight up.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Fantastic rum. The people at New Holland make some great beer, but who knew they could such a great rum! Smoother than a rum that costs 2-3 times as much. Not too sweet and a great finish. Comparable to Bumbu XO, but half the price.
