The very first Hunter Laing I have tried after well over 600 aged rums later and I can say that I'm not a big fan so far. The Guatemala 9 year old Kill Devil would have been cheap whisky in a blind test. I knew this was a rum bottle, but unfortunately all the strong whisky flavors have over powered the delicate rum flavors a long time ago. If you like whisky, then add 4 points, but if you like sweet aged dark rums, a 3 score is quite generous.
