To be honest, I did not expect this to be nearly as solid as it is. Even though Czechs are not famous rum makers, this one is enjoyable with Coke or Kofola. Maybe the ton of sugar helps.

It's very sweet, taste is artificial. Actually drinkable, but only if you want to get drunk. If you want to enjoy the taste, look for something else.

Chuť: na môj vkus je dosť sladký (preferujem suchšie rumy)

A decent rum taking into account the producer. Surprisingly drinkable on its own. When you consider the price, you can hardly find a better choice.

Nothing extra, but it won't offend the taste. Ordinary rum that can be drunk with cola, tea, or on its own. Weaker middle class

Zajimavy pokus, ale nic moc. Rum je dost sladky a v chtuti je citit divna lihova pachut.
Výrazná sladká chuť aj vôňa pre mňa vyhovujúca. Sú aj lepšie rumy, ale toto je zlatá stredna cesta. Pekná fľaša pridáva na originalite tohto rumu.

I was very pleased when Božkov announced their first real rum ( = from sugar cane ). Nice looking bottle and reasonable price suggested, that this rum could bring some dignity to Božkov brand. But when I opened it for the first time I smelled that typical Božkov artifical "rum flavour" which they add to every other Božkov alcohol and that was it for me. Taste wasn't any better. You can feel that what you drink is indeed rum, but the taste also has some "Božkov flavour" in it. Very dissapointed, only giving it 4 for good price, but I will never buy it again and use rest of this bottle for baking.
