Atlantico Gran Reserva

En helt okej rom. God smak som är söt och vanilj. En bra vardagsrum.

I got this one from a tasting box. Very smooth, intense nose. I would probably buy a whole bottle if it was on sale.

Heavy nose and taste of vanilla. A little wood and toffee. Needs a little depth and caracter and that Price I can find something better, but it is not bad at all. And I would drink it any time again, but I don't Think I would buy it unless on sale.

40%ABV solera from the Dominican Republic. It is a combination of molasses rum and rum from sugar juice (agricole). The age of the rums in the blend is 15 - 25 years. The individual rums are aged in bourbon barrels.

Bottle: Wine type bottle of cylindrical shape
Colour: Amber

Aroma: Pleasantly floral and fruity. Not at all nose-biting. The aroma is dominated by toffee and coffee. I also smelled raisins, sweet drops candies, apricots and flowers. In addition, lightly tanned wood.
Mouth: Sweet but more watery. Slightly burning on the palate and on the tongue. The palate has caramel, coffee, vanilla, raisins and oak. Unfortunately, it's a bit flatter.
Finish: Short

Summary: A pretty good rum where the aroma is more interesting than the taste. The rum is drinking well but leaves no interesting aftertaste.
Rating: 7.5/10

Strong caramel and vanilla flavors with a fruity banana aftertaste. A lot of caramel scent on the nose (for me smells delicious). Body is not thick, but not too thin either. Goes down relatively smooth and is a very pleasant sipper.

It's cluttered and there is no order to the displays, but Old Town Liquor and Deli had a nice rum selection; including the Atlantico Gran Reserva. The rum had a nice caramel flavor and I preferred it straight to to mixed.

Poprawny rum, nic nadzwyczajnego. Na początku bardzo ciekawy aromat, jakby trochę cytrusowy. Bardzo delikatny. Zaciekawił mnie. Smak...hmmm trochę rozczarował. Bardzo delikatny, dobrze się nawet pije...ale ... nadal nie ma czegoś co by mnie zaciekawiło i spowodowało bym kupił go ponownie.

Slightly disappointed in this rum, I expected a bit more.
Decent enough sipper by itself, woody and a intense flavour, but doesn’t quite do it for me.
Not too sure about a second bottle, probably not.

I miss the body, it has cheap sweet tones. It's quite disappointing compared to the other Atlantico rums.
