Nose: floral, vanilla, pineapple, lemons, honeydew melon, banana bread, some dusty wood and just a whiff of varnish.
Taste: creamy, sweet butter, vanilla, caramel, overripe melon and pineapple, banana, cookie dough, slightly funky sourness (gherkins) and mildly peppery.
Finish: vanilla, more overripe melon, a lingering sourness and some drying charred oak.
Totally disagree on this having no depth or fruitiness. Sure, it's less up front than your average branded rum, but there's definitely some character to be found.
Kein Volumen, keine Tiefe, kaum Früchte. Alles nur angedeutet. Nase komplett langweilig, Gaumen geht so.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is a 51.8%ABV molasses-based rum is from the Barbados West Indies Rum Distillery. WIRD is one of few distilleries that uses a semi-continuous fermentation (rather than batch fermentation) and they sport four massive 230,000 litre fermenters. This bottling was bottled in 2017 by The Whisky Broker.
The nose is dusty, burnt rubber, dead grass, iodine, glue, herbal tea and gasoline.
The palate is reminiscent of burnt meat, pepper, and oregano.
The finish is chocolate, but dry and waxy.
