Dos Maderas Seleccion

...first try of the Dos Maderas Family...quite tasty on the sweet side...looking forward to get and try the Dos Maderas "Luxus". Liked the amber visual and stickiness to the glass.

This rum is pretty solid, not so smooth as other rums, but still enjoyable.

Compred to 5+5 this is more subtle on raisins, which is good. Dark fruits, brown syrup.

Bitter and strong, it's good to let it breathe for a while. Dark tones but light smooth aftertaste.

I decide to buy it, because I try 5+5, but I expect something more. It is great rum, but I when I was tasting it, I have also opened bottle 5+5, and difference was to small = 0.

It's very close to Dos Maderas 5+5: less sweet, smoother in taste, but can't say that extra aging made it richer. No doubt its nice to sip, but I find 5+5 much more interesting for better price.

Velmi dobré pití, ale dle mých chuťových pohárků se (kromě vyšší ceny) od 5+5 až tak neliší.

Much better then 5+5. But depends botle from botle. Sometimes too more spirts just after open of bottle.

Tastes almost exactly like the cheaper PX. What difference there is falls out to the favor of the cheaper sibling.

I bought this bottle after trying the 5+5 before. I still prefer the 5+5 above this one, maybe that is because of the nostalgic value it has to me.
The seleccion has a vanilla and fruity smell, Maybe slight woody. The first sip gives some caramel and vanilla taste in the aftertaste There is some very light burn and subtile woody taste.
