Pale straw in the glass with nice legs. On the nose: a little burn from the high proof, briny olives, a little oak spice, some sweetness and burnt sugar. On the palate: roasted marshmallow, fennel, some ripe fruit and grassiness. Long finish with some rubber notes and more of those marshmallows. Incredibly complex and sometimes surprising sipper with some agricole/clairin notes.

I wish this hadn't been Navy Strength... tasty, lots going on, but too much alcohol burn to get the subtleties. Lots of esthers though, banana and plantain and apple peel.
I have some regrets, though; this was my fifth drink on the night I had it, and if I'd let it breathe longer, or added a little water, or been more focused, I might have gotten more. I will have to revisit this and give it a second chance.

Une belle attaque sans trop d'alcool.
De la complexité mais de l'équilibre.
Une découverte somme toute sympathique même si je lui préfère l'OFTD de plantation.

Rum tasting with my buddy in Tampere continued with TCRL Jamaica Worthy Park 2012. Very nice bottle and label design. Light golden color. Strong funk mixed with plenty of unaged alcohol and glue to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end.

At 114 it burns, but it's a sipable Overproof that is sweet.

A bold, 57% navy strength expression of classic Jamaica rum. Young and crisp, (four years in barrels, I think) but full of complex notes of banana, pineapple, cottonsedge and light oak. You could assume there is a cane juice presence in the mash, but it is still an unmistakably Jamaican rum, dominated by molasses.

Big Brother of the TCRL WP 2013.
Huge, complex and funky

Really nice to see how smotheer is the Jamaican 57,18 than the rest of the bunch of the same origin/style.
Nice job on the lightest esters by the iodic influence of the see transport.
