This rum is an 8 year aged rum distilled in Jamaica that spends the last 9 months to 1 year in used Scotch barrels. It has an interesting flavor profile - starts sweet, but quickly tails into peaty smokey Scotch notes. Not being a Scotch guy, this isnt the rum for me personally.
Proof is high at 132.8 on this batch, and it shows up front. Let it open up over a little ice and it turns into a smooth pour with heavy Scotch after taste. If you are a scotch afficionado, you will lime this distill.
