Tonight we have tasted the El Dorado 21, the Cubaney Centenario, the QRM 30 Aniversario and Zacapa XO. This Riise Black Edition is simply the best of them!

This is the most surprising rum i have tasted so far. its really sweet, if u dont like sweet rums maybe stear clear of this one. I really liked everything about this rum, from the amazing looking bottle to the smell and surely the surprising taste. Its smooth,creamy a bit smoky. I love it,the only reason i didnt give it a ten is that i have so much more to taste and i can't think this is the best out there.

První doušek, sladký silný karamel. Poté co se jazyk srovná se sladkostí, není zde přehnaná jak dokáže u AH Riise být :-) bych řekl, že se chutě mění. Druhý doušek valím po jazyku a díky síle alkoholu, který ale tady vůbec nepřekáží, nic nekazí, nacházím rozinky zabalené ve smetaně. Je to taková jemně harmonická verze Gold Medal 1888.

Voor mij is dit een verrassend heerlijke rum, inderdaad zoet maar zeer smaakvol met een wel zéér lange afdronk. Dit is de mooiste fles van mijn collectie.

A little bit worse then non plus ultra - very rare(the interesting thing is, this one costs about 90 EUR, and very rare is cheaper, about 70 EUR), because at the begining I feel(a little) - strong alcohol fumes like some cheap vodka.... I love sweet rums, but this one is too much for me, mainly in combination with this strange kind of artificial flavour and strong alcohol fumes. I am disappointed, I tasted "very rare" before, and expected from this minimum 10/10. Update: I found the strange artificial flavour is probably licorice, (or sweet wood), and I don't like this herb at all...This rum is not for me, especially not at this price. But....not great, not terrible.

Zum 300'sten Rating.
Sattes dunkles Mahagoni im Glas.
In der Nase, ein Toffee-Boot in der Karamell-See, Zuckerwatte in Ahornsirup ertränkt, Holz mit Lakritze bestrichen und Honig überzogen.
Im Gaumen super, super süss wie ein Likör. Die Aromen werden aber mit Zucker zugekleistert. Irgendwie wie bitterer Hustensaft im Holzfass gelagert und in Karamell-Toffee-Sahne-Bonbon gefüllt.
Im Abgang süss und klebrig, holzig, würzig, karamellig.
Ein supersüsser Dessert-Rum für Süss-Rum Fans (+2). Nach 300 probierten Rum sprechen mich diese süssen Dinger nicht mehr so an. Sorry, in dieser Preislage gibt's Bessere.

Rich dark mahogany in the glass.
In the nose, a toffee boat in the caramel sea, cotton candy drowned in maple syrup, wood coated with liquorice and honey.
In the palate super, super sweet like a liqueur. But the aromas are pasted with sugar. Somehow like bitter cough syrup stored in wooden barrels and filled in caramel toffee cream candy.
In the finish sweet and sticky, woody, spicy, caramel.
A super sweet dessert rum for sweet rum fans (+2). After 300 tasted rum these sweet things don't appeal to me like that anymore. Sorry, there's better in this price range.
