Tasty, but not quite great

My first disappointment with a Plantation rum. It’s just too thin, too sweet and too rough around the edges. It has some spice. Might make a good mixer. Easily consumable “in a bind”. Yes, that is a 5 alright.

Nice flavor of vanilla and caramel but the after burn is quite strong.

Received as a gift. Nose is somewhat light with a slight astringency. Color is a lighter amber. Upon tasting, it is somewhat less complex than the 20th Anniversary, but sweeter. Fairly smooth with a slight afterburn. It's good, but not worth the price. I'll stick with the 20th Anniversary.

This is a great $30 bottle of rum, not $60. It doesn’t really taste like a 15 year aged rum. It’s a bit harsh up front, thin on the mouth and the finish, with strong notes of vanilla and wood. Solid rum, just not exciting

5.5 on my scale. Was okay. Had a bit higher hopes for it given the age (12 in Barbados and 3 in Spain). Straight had a little vanilla flavor. Mixed nothing really called out.

Nice rum with tones of caramel en chocolate. Smell is also nice.

It is a tasty and fairly layered rum. It has a caramel and buttery vanilla finish. The knock might be that it can run a bit hot and have a boozy finish. More so than the (by my estimation) markedly superior 2001 Barbados.

Plantation est vraiment une marque de qualité avec son goût complexe rehaussé par un double vieillissement. La Barbade et la Guyane dont mes 2 pays préférés. J adore sa douceur et son goût fruité.

But it stuck with me!
Very nice one from Plantation.
I plan to pick up a bottle so I can try it in some different settings. Solid.
