Mount Gay XO Extra Old

Rum how it’s done. A livener as my dear departed Gran would say. Can’t think of anything better to drown my sorrows on or lift me up!

Another good one from Barbados, really tasty and complex, two drops of water will defeat the esthers and open the spirit of this nice sipping rum

A little bit pepperery without any burn not sweet but not completely lacking a brown sugar element not bad for 90 aud a bottle

I really enjoyed this bottle which I got for around €64 on Amazon great colour to it good flavours and a delicious aroma. Not quite up there with other XO's such as the Zacapa XO but at the price its very affordable.

Notes of creme brulee, molasses, spiced oak, caramel, maybe some sherry. Has a bite at 43% ABV but it becomes smoother after letting it breath for 30 minutes or adding an ice cube.

This product brought more people to Mount Gay Brand Due to the Honesty of the Product a super Rum for a great price. £28 UK Then Ask yourself what on earth were they Mount Gay thinking They the Marketing department Double the price £59 UK Now Same 43% The new product is fine ! But it's not twice as Good by any means and this has Put me right off the Brand as they are treating us a fools . Bring the old one back and charge Us £30 and we will return and buy . I can buy 6 rum's off the Island in the UK for £30 and under that beat the New mount Gay XO hands down for half the price !!

Nice warm oaky flavour but bit too sharp and alcohol bit too present

Mount Gay's XO is an excellent and easy sipper. I appreciate that it has a straightforward flavor that is extremely approachable and has a nice lingering finish.
