I'm super impressed. This was recommended to me by a friend who took a cruise and said he tried this there. When it came available here in Oregon, I decided to try it. I can't say I am disappointed. I still think the Plantation 20 year anniversary xo is better.

A bit more simle that 1703 Old Cask, but still quite balanced. Perfect for everyday use.

...for sure with no extra sugar added. So if you like the sweet stuff, keep your hands off.

As smooth as many rums with a much larger price tag, this is one you should most definitely try.
It retails between £35 and £40, but the experience is not too far away from the one you get with the 1703 Master Select.

There is a little more alcohol burn than its older brother, but aside from that, it is very similar.
With excellent balance and a length of finish comparable to the Master Select, this is a real bargain.

My bottle is gone, so I can't describe the flavour notes for you in as much detail as I would like. Just know that This is the best rum you can buy in this price bracket, and that is why my rating is so high.

This stuff is delightful.
Smells sweet of molasses & licorice, like a mix of Cruzan Blackstrap & Zaya but tastes rich & smooth - more like the sipping quality of the Zaya, or El Dorado 12+. Solid 8, on ice or with 7-Up/Sprite.

One will become alcoholic with these drinks. Smooth, easy, not strong smell of alcohol, great taste, not much of sugar.

Had this on Christmas day and a relative's house. Not bad but I've had much better. Beggars can't be choosers!
